Daylight Savings Time is drawing to an end as we gear up for the holiday season and some cold-winter camping.
There are lots of fun things ahead in the weeks to come, so make sure you check out the Troop Calendar for the latest in our monthly activities (login required to view the full calendar).
Here’s what we have planned so far.
Veteran’s Day Parade: Meet at Black Hills Federal Credit Union parking lot downtown at (see time) on Thursday, November 11th, as we show our support for our Troops. Make sure you arrive in full uniform, including sash and neckerchief.
Rapid City Rush Scout Night: Come cheer on the Rapid City Rush on Friday, November 12th, for a night of fun and excitement. Then join other Scouts as you spend the night at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center enjoying food and movies.
Turkey Shoot: The annual Turkey Shoot will be held at Medicine Mountain Scout Ranch on Saturday, November 20th. Please check back for additional information as it becomes available.
Okpik Training: The indoor portion of Okpik Training will be held on Saturday, November 20th, at the Scout Office. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
Merit Badges Due: Please have all completed merit badge information to Yancey by Monday, November 29th, so he can get everything updated and awards purchased in time for the December Court of Honor.
Monthly Meetings: As usual all Troop meetings will be held each Monday at 7pm at our normal meeting location. Troop Committee and PLC meetings will be held on the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month from 6-7p at the same location. The Penjahame District Roundtable meeting will be held on Thursday, November 11th, at 6:30p. This month’s meeting will be held at the Scout Office as the Library will be closed in observance of Veteran’s Day.
