The month of March started to come in like a “Lion” but the wind has calmed down as the afternoon rolled in.
Too bad the temperature didn’t increase too much as well.
There are currently a few items of importance going on this month with the Council so make sure you get them on your calendar.
Merit Badge Midway: To be held on Saturday, March 5th, at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology (SDSM&T) and will be an all day event with registration starting at 8:30am. All of our boys that wanted to sign-up should be registered by now but if you have decided late to want to participate you can still talk to Rodney Brown or Yancey Smith. Habitat for Humanity: The Troop will be serving a meal to those working on a local Habitat for Humanity project on Friday, March 11th. More information will be posted as it is made available.
Scout-o-Rama: To be held on Saturday, March 26th, at the Rushmore Plaza Mall from 9:00am to 3:00pm. This year’s theme will be building a Rube Goldberg Machine. Come stop by the mall if you want to see what kind of inventive creations the area Troops come up with.
March Merit Badge: No defined badge this month due to MBM and playing “catch-up” on partial badges.
